Caring for Your Dining Table

Everyday Use

The finish is water-resistant. Spills and condensation can be wiped away with a clean, dry cloth. For stickier spots, use a lightly dampened rag. To protect from heat, place trivets or towels beneath hot pans, or anything that could scorch.

Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, Magic Erasers, or commercial sprays, as these can damage the natural finish. If soap is needed, use Rubio Surface Care Spray. Spray lightly and wipe immediately with a clean cloth.

Long-Term Maintenance

Rubio Monocoat is durable, but like all natural oil finishes, it benefits from periodic care, usually every 2–5 years, depending on use. Rubio Maintenance Oil can be applied without sanding and takes less than an hour, helping the surface retain its depth and character for years to come.
